Bill Dixon

Bill Dixon, a native Bostonian, is a graduate of Providence College. Bill started in the insurance business in 1965, working for John Hancock Mutual Life for seven years in sales and sales management. He joined Sun Life of Canada as head of their Washington, D.C. agency in 1973. He returned to Boston to serve as Director of Agencies for Sun Life in 1974. In that capacity, he was responsible for approximately 50% of the United States sales force during the late 1970s. In 1978, he returned to agency management in Sun Life's Braintree, Massachusetts office. In 1980, Bill established Dixon Associates as an independent brokerage agency because individual insurance companies were beginning to pick narrow markets in which to specialize. At that point in his career, Bill chose to represent his clients instead of a specific insurance company. Bill, with over 40 years of experience, has developed the expertise to ascertain the best value for his numerous clients.
