• SSTD coverage will provide 60% of an employee's weekly income if an off-the-job sickness or injury disables them. Be aware that 62% of all disabilities occur out of the workplace.
  
  
• The coverage may begin as early as the 1st day of disability due to accident, the 8th day after disability due to an illness, and usually provides coverage for 13, 26 or 52 weeks.
  
  
• A "Partial Disability" benefit is also available, that would pay a pro-rata benefit if an employee's pay should drop by 20% or more.
